The Cathedral by Valentina
The Cathedral Primada is located in the center of Bogata Colmbia in the Simon Bolivar's Square, the Cathedral is a church that stills open. The church is Catholic and many people go to the Cathedral. The story of the Cathedral is about the Spanish conquerors that come to Bogota and Fray Domingo de las Casas, so he celebrated a mass in a chapel and then they decided to construct the Cathedral Primada now "Catedral Basilica Metropolitana de la Inmaculada Consepcion", the conquerors named the Cathedral by our Lady of Hope . Importantly of the Cathedral it is a Roman Catholic Cathedral , declared this one a Historical Monument and it was constructed in 1553.
Bogota's Fundation by Valentina
Bogota was habited by cultures of indians that were also in other pleces like Tunja until Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada our founder arrived. When he arrived it was called El Dorado, they come to Bogota and discovered that there was alot of gold and the mos beautiful rocks, that's why they killed alot of indians, the place of foundation in Bogota was Teusaquillo because, it have alot of abundant resources and also because, the mountains of Monserrate and Guadalupe protected them of the air, also the spanish conquerors put to the indians rules and costumes, and also the city didn't have a document of fundation but it is on 6 of August of 1538, now the city is the capital of Colombia.
